Victor high wheel - New member & new to the hobby
Quote from Lonnie on December 1, 2020, 10:19 pmI just joined the forum as a recent owner of a "new" bike. I've always been intrigued by these high wheel bikes, but never had the opportunity to own or ride one.
2 weeks ago, I was notified by a friend of some old cars in an estate that was being cleaned out.
As I was looking through all the car & furniture pictures I came across a Victor High Wheel & started inquiring about purchasing. Admittedly I know little about these unique machines, but I am definitely doing a lot of research now.
I need a lot of items to complete my restoration.
Here is my first photo, after a good pressure washing.

It would be helpful to know your name and exact location and how to contact you. Lots of info on the Victor on the internet to see how far your bicycle is from the original version. The Copake Auction house in New York has many years of auction results available which includes many Victors, to get an idea of the value of these machines in different conditions, and the situation you have.
