New member with a Victor Overman
Quote from Jewelman13 on February 10, 2022, 6:30 pmHi, I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Greg. And I’m a new member to “The Wheelmen” I’m a newbie when it comes to the TOC bikes, but I do have a few in my collection. My recent acquired bike is an 1891-92 Victor Overman cushion tire model high wheeler. It does have an insert that has a hard tire which is interesting. I’m hoping to find parts to make it rideable. Any help will be appreciated and I look forward to learning more about these historical machines.

I used to have a 52" Victor cushion tire high wheel bicycle years ago.
There is a difference in the brake spoon and hand brake lever of the 1891 model and the 1892 model as I see yours is missing. I will have to dig through my archives for what I may have.
I do know that Dave Toppin, MA. Wheelmen member also has a Victor like this and mine differed in the brake spoon and hand brake lever slightly from his and from what I had found from catalog information at the time.
Best to give me a call to arrange a time when you can be next to your bike so we can do the forensics on yours. bike.
