Brake Linkage Project - Columbia Lt Roadster Safeties 1889-1892
Quote from mike cates on July 14, 2020, 4:30 pmNotifying collectors who are interested in either individual parts or complete brake linkages that will be correct for COLUMBIA LIGHT ROADSTER SAFETY BICYCLES 1889-1892 both for the Camelback and Double Diamond Frame designs having hard tires, cushion tires or pneumatic tires.
All parts will be made using original parts as reference.
Brake spoons can be made for either narrower hard tire or wider cushion/pneumatic tire widths via using original brake spoons for patterns.
Pull rod (not shown) with clevis ends can be made to various lengths depending on models and for man's or ladies models and will be made off an original part as well. Just specify it as "Pull Rod".
Need to get a tally of interested people who own these type bicycles who need parts so costs can be established for each part or complete brake assemblies.
Please look at the photo and specify via part numbers what parts you need.
Send your interest request to John Grace, Michigan member.
