Right side spade hand grip actuates rack and pinion gearing to a steering rod that then connects to short front fork steering arm.
Bale handle at front just behind steering head is for picking up the front end and walking the machine around if in a parked in a tight place. This bale handle also folds down and acts as a foot rest as well for coasting purposes.
