Got this guy telling me its not a first year model PLEASE explain the riveted spokes that were only on first year Stars model i'll wait. Because those are 100% riveted spokes.

Funny a bunch of no it all telling me what i have but cant explain the riveted spokes that are clearly on this bike and were only on first year models for sure... Bike is heavy as hell like first years model.... Has 3 different patent dates on it meaning this could very well be the first years model and they only put patent dates on it when something is added to the bike meaning first years didnt come with brakes things could have been added in the following years that's why there are 3 patent dates listed on the bike and someone explain to me the rivitred spokes. I no what a rivet is that's a rivet had 2 "experts" look at it in person and confirmed those are rivets but your going to tell me with 3 pictures what i have stop you sound foolish and "later model" it's an 1880's model so stop following me around sites like a weirdo  claiming you no what i have when you clearly do not.

Those are not rivets they are the spoke heads. 
If Craig or Carey can’t convince you it’s a lost cause. I’ve been buying, selling and collecting for over 50 years and if I were to have interest in another Star I would consult with Carey or Craig on what I’m looking at.
Where are all these “Antique Bike Stores” you keep referring to?
Put it in the Copake auction or on eBay and take what you get. Good luck!!

Craig and Cory don't need to convince me on what a rivet is i do no what a rivet looks like and that's riveted. And i plan on looking i'm in no rush to sell just to sell thanks for your input though.

Show me another AS with rivets like that. Show me an picture of one since you guys have 100 years of experience you should surely have pictures of all these  1880's AS you buy and sell right? At WORST it's and 1883.

Colby, Are you capable of reading a dictionary? Why don't you try looking up the meaning of the word rivet. By definition a rivet is a piece of metal that is formed or peened over on BOTH ends. There are no threads on a rivet. If it has threads, it CANNOT by definition be a rivet. Here is what you need to do if you have the backbone and courage to learn some facts about Stars. Remove the nuts and bolts that hold the side frames together and also the axle nuts. Pull the drive hubs off the axle and you will see  in all of their glory and majesty square threaded nuts that hold the spokes in place. Your problem is you are only  looking at one end of the spoke and not the other end.
I know you have no intention of doing this because you truly are a lost cause and have no interest in learning something new.

What about the brake arm pivot mounted on the handle bar. OH, I must be mistaken maybe it is a fishing pole holder or an American Flag holder bracket or something else.

So, put on your big boy panties and bring it to Copake swap meet for the real collectors to critique it for you.

It's actually a steering wheel stabilizer,  cause it ain't got breaks. Or rivits!!
