I have a 48" VICTORY reproduction high wheel bicycle in new condition. It is painted as originally done by VICTORY in their striking LaFrance fire truck red with black rims and the balance nickel plated. Red rubber tiring (the good stuff supplied to VICTORY by Ray Rittenhouse at the time). It features the optional hand brake lever with pivot, brake spoon and return spring which wasn't on all of the produced bicycles unless special ordered that way.
Perfect condition bicycle ready for a rider who wants something reliable and made from modern materials. Ask anyone who purchased a VICTORY and rides the heck out of theirs!
VICTORY is no longer making these fine reproductions and this is the last of the last and they won't be made again.
I will sell it at the original retail price of $4350 plus shipping cost that it was offered at from the now defunct VICTORY BICYCLES.

I haven't seen a bicycle like this offered at Copake Antique Bicycle Auction 2020.

I will get photos up soon.

I have FOR SALE what I call a "matched pair" of Columbia  Bevel Gear Shaft Drive bicycles: 1901 Woman's and 1902 Man's. The 1901 Woman's is a Model 75 and the 1902 Man's is a Model 81.
According to the original Columbia 1901 and 1902 catalogs, there were no design changes or improvements from 1901 onwards to the 1902 bevel geared models so both years were virtually the same bicycle. They could be as far apart as two years (Jan 1, 1901 to Dec 31, 1902) or as close as one day apart (Dec 31, 1901 to Jan 1, 1902) in their manufacturing dates.
They are ready for a modern day Wheelmen couple, parent and child, etc to hit the bike path with!
To a collector here is what Columbia offered in this era.
These are older restorations (pardon the dust from hanging in the building for some years) and are fitted with white Universal 28" tires, NOS 28" wooden rims laced with NOS Columbia ball end spokes, recovered leather saddles, black automotive paint on frames and nickel plating on correct parts. Some of the man's model photos show missing hand grips and I have these to go with it but weren't on the bike when photos were taken. The nickel plating will hand polish up fine.
I haven't seen a pair of bicycles like this offered at Copake Antique Bicycle Auction 2020.
This pair is $7000 FIRM plus shipping. I can box in heavy cardboard electric bicycle boxes and break down of handlebars and removal of pedals is mandatory to properly pack and ship these.
I ship world wide and local pick up is fine.

WHEELMEN HISTORY LESSON 101.
TOPIC - CHARLES EWART AND HIS IMPORTANCE TO ANTIQUE BICYCLE CHAINS:

Charles Ewart was the inventor of the detachable link chain used in early farm industry. The idea was so the farmer could repair a bad link when out in the field on a piece of horse-drawn chain driven farm equipment without the use of tools. This chain worked well as when it got packed with dirt it would be self-cleaning due to it's desgin. Once in awhile a small rock would get picked up by the chain and lodge itself between the chain and sprocket and break or bend a link. The farmer would simply un tension the chain via a idler sprocket mounted on a pivoted locking lever, take out the bad chain link by hand, reach into his box or bag of spare links and replace it, re tension the chain and be on his way again.
The chain is taken apart/ re assembled by pivoting the "rectangular frame" and "block with hooks" to align the tip of the hook in the block to the v-slot forged into the frame link and slide the two pieces sideways to detach or re assemble them........simple, no tools needed, thanks to Charles Ewart!
The farm equipment Ewart chain was much wider and heavier and Pope had it modified narrower and lighter in weight for use on his early bicycles and tricycles.

The 1st pattern Ewart detachable link chain was used on the 1888 Columbia Veloce (Pope's first hard tire safety). It's design had the "block" and "hook" all made in one piece and each connected to the next link.

This original 2nd pattern Ewart detachable link chain (shown in photos), has an improved design having separate "block with hooks" and "rectangular frame" pieces that connect to each other and is correct for 1889 onwards Columbia (Camelback) Light Roadster Hard Tire and Cushion Tire Safety, Columbia Ladies Hard Tire and Cushion Tire Safety, Columbia Two and Three Track High Wheel Adult Tricycle,  and Columbia kangaroo-style front wheel chain driven  high wheel bicycle.

This chain is very serviceable in it's present as found condition with all links loose and all detachable by hand as was the original purpose of this chain

Clean it, oil it, use it, restore/nickel plate and display it.

A rare-to-find chain, as you know, that is complete and THE ONLY CHAIN that will fit the sprockets used on the above Columbia models of these early years.

$500 plus shipping cost.

As a long time student of researching and wondering about the fantastic development of antique bicycles and learning something new almost weekly for decades as a member of The Wheelmen. Seeing 2 speed, hearing about a 3 speed  and seeing a advertisement for a 4 speed shaft drive bicycle, I pose the question that I don't think is out of the possibility of mechanical design that could have happened, DID A SHAFT DRIVE TANDEM BICYCLE EVER GET PRODUCED?

I am going through over 500 original antique bicycle catalogs and advertising flyers dating from 1870's to 1910's. All are in VERY GOOD to MINT original condition and have been properly stored vertically in plastic sleeves within hard back binders out of the heat and moisture in a smoke free home for decades.
Email me and I can send you a PDF of my inventory of catalogs.
If there is anything you are looking for, and it is not on the PDF I email you, please email me your WANT LIST as I am still finding catalogs that are not listed yet.
