Very first Arnold, Schwinn & Co "The World" Catalog
« on: July 26, 2018, 05:54:37 PM »
I am wondering if this 1895 catalog exists?  After discussing this with a wide net of collectors,
the Bicycle Museum and a few other reputable sources, the answer seems to be "no"
Is there an evidence of this catalogs existence?
thanks and I welcome your replies!

Contact Walter Branche. He would know if there is an original or copy any where in the world. Walter may even have one.

Looking through the October, November and December 1895 and January 1896 issues of "The Bearings", the name "The World" was selected in November 1895 for the Arnold, Schwinn & Company's 1896 first model year of production. Because of this timing I would say there was no 1895 catalog issued.

I believe the 2nd catalog (Beginning with models 8 onward) is dated 1896
The World 1st catalog then should be 1895 right?

There must be a copy of this catalog in existence somewhere?
