Very cool to see a young Julian watching the drill team as he is now participating with them.

Thanks Dave for keeping serial number records. My 55" LR is #2903. Didn't know if it was in your book of records or not. Oh and make sure you have #2787 on record also 58" Expert. Just Columbia's numbers you keeping track of?

Nice bike you have there Dr. Brian. Looks like our bikes shared some factory time together 131 years ago.

Hmm, the text was clear on my camera. I'll try that again. At least photos are easier to post on this forum. Thanks for that.

Here's the Queen

The catalog is exclusive to the King and Queen. Contrary to the sellers claim, wood rims was not an option on the Queen.

I recently found the '93 Road king and Queen catalog

That Century model Columbia was in the sheep field at Copake and currently on Ebay.

Colby it doesn't cost anything to sell your bike at the Copake swap meet. I believe they charge 10% to run it through the auction. If you have an offer for 4500 I would grab it and say thank you. Missing brakes, seat and who knows what else. Going to be expensive to make it right and rideable. If you are thinking about restoring it I wouldn't annoy Craig Allen to much because he's about the only one that can make the missing parts and get it right. He's done a bunch of them.

Great pictures Dick.
A couple of weeks ago an elderly couple wandered into my nursery. He handed me his card and told me he was a retired building architect and once had a nursery himself. They wanted to look at Camellias and as we cruised out to the field he talked about the importance of staying physically active. He gave credit to his life long passion to cycling and how lucky he was to grow up in a cycling family. He then mentioned that his dad rode the old highwheel bicycles for years. It then hit me the name on the card. I stopped the buggy, looked at him and said "your dad's name is Clair". Oh the shocked look he had. I delivered 9 large Camellias to their winter residence and spent hours hearing the stories of the good old days of the Ohio Wheelmen. Dan Duckham, winters in Deland and summers in Cashiers NC. Still has the old homestead in Dayton.

The Wheelmen page on Facebook overtook this site. Plus it is extremely easy to post pictures.
