Pictured is a split style clamp-on hub mounted cyclometer drive collar in original condition. There are small headed screws that hold the split halves together. The drive dog post at the center is what drives the internal gearing within the cyclometer. It is from a Butcher hub cyclometer used on high wheel or Hard Tire Safety wheel sizes as the drive collars for Butcher cyclometers of this era are the same whether they be the box shape style with dial windows or the round dial face style which both would have the swinging counter balance weight hanging below.
RARE PART TO FIND IF YOU HAVE THE CYCLOMETER MISSING THIS COLLAR.
$100 plus shipping.

Nice condition 36 hole rear hub with 9 tooth sprocket correct for 3/8" block chain. Sprocket shows little wear and has symmetrical tooth side view profile shape confirming this.
Sprocket unscrews from hub (although I haven't tried that) and has a slotted set screw in the valley of the teeth to lock it in place. Being that it is screwed onto the hub other sprockets could be re installed to suit your application.
Pressed in bearing race cups look fine.
Axle, cones, ball bearings are missing but these would not be hard to find parts.
Hub has been lightly sand blasted then oiled to keep it from rusting.
$150.00 + shipping cost.

General discussions on Wheelmen topics. / FASTENAL 3PL SHIPPING SERVICE
« on: October 17, 2018, 01:09:17 AM »
I just learned that FASTENAL industrial fastener stores offer shipping for large and heavy crated items on their trucks for a great rate. You simply crate your bicycle, car engine, motorcycle, etc and take it to your nearest FASTENAL store and they unload your shipment and put it on the next FASTENAL warehouse truck and it's that easy.

If you are considering this bicycle, best to call me directly (No Texts Please). It is offered by a seller on ebay in California. I saw this bicycle close up today and want you to know things that the auction pictures don't show. Absolutely nothing against the owner's knowledge(or lack of) as he is a nice guy but, just want to be factual about this bicycle with my 45+ years of focusing on pre 1900's bicycles to a prospective buyer.
