The previous site actually did not work just fine; it was difficult to maintain or even update, then our webmaster resigned. This new one is much easier to add new content to and, as the redesign progresses, will hopefully do more things for us.

Hi Chris,
Well, if you've figured out where the bike was built and when the company was in the bike business, that's honestly more than some of us ever find out about a bike we find. Have you asked the club librarian, Bill Smith, if he has any literature about it?

If your dates are correct, then just judging by the frame geometry, your bike is most likely from 1895. Earlier ones typically had sloping top tubes and huge head tubes, even longer than yours. By about 1895 the geometry had settled on a recognizably modern diamond frame, just a little taller and shorter than we'd ride now. Yours looks in terrific condition; just overhaul the bearings, find someone to fix the seat, and put some cyclocross tubular tires on it and it could be ridden.

I don't know about the spokes, but I needed to replace the nipples on my wheel and straighten the rim and was able to just pop the rubber off with an ordinary tire iron, and put it back the same way. It's putting new rubber on that's hard. I'm going to guess that someone will jump in here and say I shouldn't be able to do that, but I was.

I just noticed this nice-looking 54" Kennedy Ordinary on eBay for a starting bid of $2000. I'd buy it myself but I already have a 54" Kennedy. It's in Camby, Indiana, which is just down the road from me, and shipping is not offered, so if anyone wants to buy it, I'm willing to pick it up and hold it until we figure something out.

I believe the password requires at least 2 upper case, 2 lower case, 2 numbers, and 2 special characters. I tried all that except with only 1 special character and it rejected it. It would be helpful if the requirements were listed on the registration page, as right now it just rejects you without really any explanation.
