What is a usual current price for a Col. Pope paperweight?
And what is a little history of them? When were they made? By whom?

I have the same one you do.
It was $25.00. I have seen them for as much as $75.00. The manufacturer is written in small print at the very bottom but I do not have my jewelers loupe with which to read it again.
In other photographs Col Pope is younger I believe. Sorry to not been more of a help....

30 years ago they would fetch up to $150, especially if it was sold on west coast. I have 3 different ones at Popes various ages. I am not sure but there may be 4 different ones. Ed Berry is the person that could tell you anything you want to know.

I believe they were made from the late 1880s to ca 1898. Hope that helps. B. T. W. .. I have seen at least 6 different images. Carl Burgwardt had a group in a Cabinet. Best to one and all. Lorne
