Renewal update.

There was a snafu in my system to notify members of their renewal status via the Newsletter address block.  For members who had not renewed for 2020, there was to be the words 'renew now' in the address block. Those words were lost by the printer.

Today, I dropped off a big pile of postcards to those members who have not renewed from last year to this year.  If you receive one of these postcards in the next few days, we hope you'll renew with a check and form sent to the Treasurer (address on back of Newsletter) or on-line via:
https://www.thewheelmen.com/sections/membership/membership.php

Any questions about your status, drop me an e-mail at:
MemberShip@thewheelmen.org

Just a reminder from the Membership Chairman about renewing your formal (i.e. REAL) membership in The Wheelmen organization.  Ability to read and post here on the message board does NOT necessarily mean you are a member of The Wheelmen.

You can renew (and join if you haven't been a member) from this website:
https://www.thewheelmen.com/sections/membership/membership.php

If you have a question about your membership status, sned me an e-mail at:
MemberShip@thewheelmen.org

By the way, the first 2020 Newsletter has been delayed a bit due to swtiching printer companies (or something like that). .

A Crescent 1891 safety bicycle purchased at a Copake auction is now available in Belgium.
This Crescent was in the Metz collection.
It is a complete bicycle with mudguards.
Its frame number is 7452.

This Crescent is being sold by Dirk Van Luchem.

Does anyone have a Mead serial number list?

Or anyone with a Mead model, year, and serial number?

Asking for Joe B.

General discussions on Wheelmen topics. / Ohio activities this year
« on: February 17, 2020, 10:29:43 PM »
FYI
I have an on-line schedule of Ohio and area Wheelmen activities.
The location is:  http://ohiowheelmen.org/owpages/schedule.html

Please let me know if you want to participate in these.  Of course, for the out-of-state events, contact the appropriate person.

One not on the schedule is a non-Wheelmen event called TOSRV, a two-day, 200 mile weekend in mid-May. Weather permitting, I plan to ride my 57" Columbia Light Roadster.  Anyone want to join in on a high wheel or antique safety?

A few of us are also talking about doing a group ride on a trail this spring.

File sent via e-mail to you, Stan.
If you want me to edit it with your name and address info, let me know.

I re-did the trifold that starts with:
A bit of history
... here today.

I am having 100 printed up for my use this spring and summer for just under $30.
Printing and trifolding is done by Staples and I pick them up at my local store.
This is via heavy paper, but not real stiff card stock.
I used my Membership Chair e-mail address and the PO box I use for Membership and for Ohio Captain.

If someone wants me to make minor changes for their e-mail address and/or postal address, let me know. I can then provide you with a PDF file to have a local printer make them for you.  Maybe your printer can use cardstock and trifold it.
Or you could use the PDF file with my Membership Chair info.

DO NOT USE THE ATTACHED PDF FILES BECAUSE I HAVE REDUCED THE RESOLUTION TO MAKE A SMALL FILE SIZE TO SHOW HERE.

Duly noted.
e-mail sent to admins

UPDATE:
"It's being worked on."
"The next Newsletter will have an article about what's being done for the message board."

Dick,
Sorry for the delay in responding.
Why not send me a couple of the typical photos you're trying to post here.
I'll see what happens when I try it.
Send to  ohiowheelmencapt@gmail.com

I just made a post with five photos on the SALE side of the message board.
No problem.  The file size for each one was small, less than 100 KB each.

As for current membership status vs posting - there is no connection. There are 'members' on this message board that are simply 'members' of this message board and NOT formal, dues-paying members of THE WHEELMEN.

Dick Rath, since I am the membership chairman, I'll get your membership status updated tonight. Thanks for renewing!

Richard D.

An antique dealer sent me these photos of a Heubach lady bicycle figurine that is for sale at $650. She stands about 16" tall (judging by the ruler in the one photo.)

If any member of THE WHEELMEN is interested, I will furnish the dealer's contact info.

This is NOT mine nor do I have any interest in it nor will I receive any kickback or commission.

Send me an e-mail if you are interested.

Just a reminder to some folks registered here on the Message Board.
Being registered here does not bestow real membership in THE WHEELMEN organization.

Real membership in The Wheelmen is much more than being able to create and answer posts on this message board.

If you are not a formal member of The Wheelmen, I would encourage you join and enjoy the full benefits of The Wheelmen and its members.  Information about The Wheelmen is here:
 http://thewheelmen.org/redesign/about-us/
Membership may be accomplished on-line or via a printed form, both available here:
 https://www.thewheelmen.com/secti…/membership/membership.php
